I flew from Bangkok to Hat Yai and took a 1 1/2 hour taxi ride to Pak Bara. The ride was a mix of lush country side and colorful little towns. Every song playing on the radio was apropos. Became lachrymose when Louis Armstrong came on singing" It's a Wonderful World."
